Clearlake Capital Group and Francisco Partners reach agreement to purchase the Software Integrity Group

On Monday, May 6, 2024, Synopsys announced that Clearlake Capital Group and Francisco Partners have reached an agreement to purchase the Software Integrity Group business from Synopsys. Between now and the close of the transaction, which is expected to occur in the second half of the year, the Software Integrity Group will continue to operate as part of Synopsys with no interruption to our business, after which, the Software Integrity Group will emerge as a new, standalone company under a new name. In partnership with the recognized track record and resources of Clearlake Capital Group and Francisco Partners, the new Software Integrity Group will relaunch with a reinvigorated focus on delivering superior products, services, and support to help our customers transform their business through stronger software.

As a leader in application security testing, we remain fully committed to growing and evolving our portfolio to stay ahead of the changing threats to the software security landscape. This commitment is proven out by our recent delivery of three new compelling and innovative solutions – Polaris fAST Dynamic, Black Duck Software Supply Chain Edition, Polaris Assist - since Synopsys announced it would be evaluating options for the Software Integrity Group business late last year.
